Event Overview
ICC Young Leaders Forum organized the Pride of Bengal Awards on the 21st of April 2023. The Pride of Bengal Awards is organized by the Young Leaders Forum aims to felicitate achievers from Bengal working in the fields of Defense, Education, Business, Media, Sports, Food, Fashion, Art, and Social welfare, and who have created an indelible mark nationally and globally. The 1st edition of the event had been a massive success with extensive media coverage and was among the top prestigious events in Kolkata during that year. The stalwarts from Bengal are honored and felicitated with the Pride of Bengal award to honor their immense contribution in their respective field of work.
The legends felicitated for their contribution in their respective fields were, Squash legend Mr. Saurav Ghosal, Icon in Fashion Designing, Ms. Ritu Kumar, Versatile singer and composer, Mr. Jeet Ganguli, Legend in the field of Traditional business in sweet manufacturing , Mr. Nitai Chandra Ghosh ,Noted Actress and member of Parliament, Ms. Mimi Chakraborty, Mr. Parambrata Chatterjee, noted actor(virtual), Mr. Dibakar Banerjee celebrated Director, Mr. Abhishek Banerjee, celebrated actor on the OTT platform. Ms. Rupa Ganguly was presented the award for cinematic excellence. Mr. Peter Cook Deputy British Commissioner for International relations. Admiral Pradeep Chatterjee for his services to the Defence, Mr. Ashok Dinda for his contribution in Cricket. Ms. Dolly Jain for lifestyle. Mr. Prahlad Rai and Mr. BM Mittal were felicitated for their outstanding contribution in the field of business.
The opening speech was delivered by Mr. Arihant Parakh, Chairman, Young Leaders Forum. In his words , Young Leaders Forum is a dynamic and exciting forum for young leaders and achievers of Kolkata and the forum truly believes in bringing about a change beyond conventionality. Mr. Parakh further added that the forum is playing a primitive role in the amalgamation of Kolkata and the state of West Bengal. He congratulated all the recipient of the award.
