Event Overview
The Young Leaders Forum Change of Chair was held on the 22nd of January ’23. The event marked the conclusion of the tenure of Mr. Mudit Beriwal and the beginning of the term of Mr. Arihant Parakh as the new Chairman of ICC Young Leaders Forum.
At the session, Mr. Mehul Mohanka, President , Indian Chamber of Commerce addressed the audience in his opening speech and thanked Mr. Beriwal for his outstanding contribution to the Forum and helping it reach to dizzying heights. Mr. Vikas Agarwal, Past President ICC, spoke about Mr. Beriwal’s activeness and contribution during the pandemic years and ensuring the increase in membership and smart planning of events. Mr. Pradeep Sureka, Past President ICC reiterated the fact that Mr. Beriwal had immense foresight and always ensured the growth and success of the Forum by constantly focussing on all aspects, be it member engagement, event planning, variation in programs, creation of business development groups etc. Dr. Rajeev Singh, Director General, ICC in his concluding remarks, thanked Mr. Beriwal for his immense contribution to the Forum and hoped for his continuous support and involvement in future ICC and YLF programs.
Mr. Keshav Bhajanka, Past Chairman , YLF spoke at length about the revival of YLF during his term and the immense success it enjoyed under Mr. Beriwal’s leadership. Mr. Arihant Parakh ,introduced his vision and theme for the Forum, EVOLVE’ which reinstates the fact that YLF stands for growth and progress.
The session was concluded with the unveiling of the Pride of Bengal Booklet and the official Change of Chair ceremony.
The Queen’s Soiree
A tete with Ms. Kareena Kapoor Khan
The Change of Chair’23 was followed by an Interaction with the main attraction of the evening , Bollywood superstar , Ms. Kareena Kapoor Khan . Ms. Khan was very delighted to interact and speak to the forum and mentioned that this was a good opportunity for her to interact on a youth platform directly and not through social media. She was happy to share interesting & fun anecdotes about her family ,kids and her famous girl gang. She felt that films are a beautiful medium of entertainment and that that actors like herself shall always be happy to entertain their audience hence the very popular term of cancel culture should not be encouraged much. The event also saw the musical presence of Ms. Kanika Kapoor, who enthralled the audience with her charming voice.
